Carlos Saldise (Beginnings of the group).
The group was born in England, in
1977. Their leader was Mark Knopfer (guitarrist and vocal), he founded the group
with his brother David (guitarrist). Knopfer brothers, were born in Scotland.
They were really good guitarrist, and they are incluided in the list of the 100
best guitarrist in theworld by the magazine of the Rolling Stones. The rest of
the group was John Illsley (bass) and Pick Withers (drummer). With the arrival
of Pick, the group take of experience, since he had experience in the field, and
Mark start taking more seriously the future of the group. The 9 of Dicembre of
1977 they signed their first big contract for a record.
